The paradox is that we live in the information age, with the advent of the internet into our lives we have access to endless inputs of a sexual nature. However, more often than not, the information is more like misinformation. The sexual messages do not correspond to reality.

It is imperative to get rid of the media hoaxes that lead us to believe that our bodies are impercfects, that everyone else has more and better sex, and that sexual satisfaction comes from having sex on film. It is imperative to make a critical reading of our lifestyles, our values and how we are influenced by the constant bombardment of society.

Sex education should be positive, rigorous, objective and should include biological, psychological and social aspects, understanding sexuality as a human communication source of pleasure and affectivity. Sexual Knowledge, profound and scientific, is essential for the development of Sexual Intelligence. Another way to refer to this element is to call it the Pedagogy of Sexuality as it is acquired through education.

Knowledge gives us the enormous power to transform our lives, frees us to make wise decisions about our sexual and relational lives, and allows us to feel comfortable in our own skin.
